The Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige, Says Education that can't create job is useless.
He added that there was a need for school to change their curricular and development, according to a statement by the Director of Press at the Ministry of Labour, Samuel olowookere.
The Minister said this in Abuja on Tuesday while addressing a breakfast session of the ongoing National Economic submit (#24) in Abuja with the theme, 'Multi-Sectoral Roundtable on Job creation and skills development in Nigeria' .
He said , with the current unemployment rate in the country, that something has to be done , the school curriculum would be changed to add skill acquisition scheme. Education is good and power but useless when not position in the right direction.
He emphasised the need for a paradigm shift to job Creation.
The Executive Secretary of the National University Commission, Prof. Abubakar Rasheed, showed the eager of the commission to partner with Organisation and Groups to transform Nigeria into a Knowledge-based society, thereby facilitating a knowledgeable economy.
